Statement of Faith

The Holy Bible is God’s infallible written Word inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.

There is one true God, who is father of ALL creation seen and unseen.

God eternally exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity.

God created Man in His own image. Man, by disobeying God, sinned and was separated from his Creator, bringing all mankind under divine  condemnation.

Man’s nature is corrupt, and he is thus totally unable to please God. Every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. The only means of being cleansed from his sin is through repentance and faith in the redeeming blood of Christ.

Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, which was made flesh, incarnate of the Holy Spirit and through virgin birth.

Jesus lived a sinless life, voluntarily atoned for the sins of mankind by dying on the cross as a substitute for man, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone.

He rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died.

He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He, the only mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for His own.

The salvation of man is wholly a work of God’s free grace and cannot be acquired through any work of man. It is a gift of God, freely given to those who ask for it, to those who put their faith in Christ alone.

The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and control are appropriated in the believer’s life by faith.

Every believer is called to live so in the power of the indwelling Spirit that he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it. The Holy Spirit in a person’s life is evidenced by changes in his life, including a renewed love for God, and people, a commitment to the scriptures and holy living. The spirit filled believer has the capability of speaking with new tongues whether or not he or she chooses to exercise this gifting.

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all mankind, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith. The Church is the universal, spiritual body of believers from every tribe, tongue, kindred and race of peoples, and is indwelt by God through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ will come again to the earth — personally, visibly and bodily – judge all creation.

In the resurrection and final judgment of both the saved and the lost, the saved shall be raised to everlasting life and the lost to cast into eternal damnation.

Jesus shall establish a new heavens and the new earth and the holy Jerusalem, the city of God, shall descend out of heaven and filled with the glory of God.

God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation.
